Park Ranger

Wonders of Wildlife is seeking an experienced Park Ranger to join our Security Team. This is a part-time position and candidates need to be able to work various shifts ensuring the safety of our guests and facilities. This candidate must be willing to travel, and cover shifts at affiliate Conservation Attraction properties, (Dogwood Canyon and Top of the Rock). Any combination of experience, education, skills, certification(s) etc. will be taken into consideration

A day in the life of a Park Ranger

Our Park Rangers are responsible for securing premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry. Park Rangers will prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; detects, observes, and reports criminal conduct. They will complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures. They must be able to work in an environment with exposure to sunlight, various animals, weather, loud sounds, low lighting, close quarters, high/low temperatures, etc.
