Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm

Summary:

Cut and organize lumber, OSB & EPS foam, for each job as requested. Build posts, headers, and special panels. Be able to build structural insulated panels (SIPs) from start to finish.

Essential Functions:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable an individual with disabilities to perform the essential duties. Other duties may be assigned including cross-training and/or working in other departments.

  • Move material for all areas of production.
  • Know different dimensions of lumber.
  • Pre-stage all lumber and foam by project number.
  • Set up and run nail guns, staplers, and saws.
  • Read prints and finish panels according to the prints.
  • Notify department lead or supervisor when supplies are low.
  • Inventory of all lumber and know where it is located.
  • Efficient use of material.
  • Visually inspect material to ensure it meets quality standards.
  • Housekeeping at end of shift.
  • Assist in other areas as requested.

Job Qualifications:

Education and /or Experience: High School diploma or GED; previous construction experience is preferred.

Skills: Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16” and read blueprints. Good organizational and communication skills. Must be able to lift 40-50 lbs.
