POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Paralegal - Contract Administration and Corporate Legal Support

REPORTS TO: General Counsel

LOCATION: This position has been designated as one that can be performed remotely at the individual’s home or at the Corporate office in Tampa

Who you are

You are an experienced paralegal with a strong background in contract administration and corporate legal support. You excel in the preparation and execution of standard master service agreements, statements of work, requests for proposals, and other standard contracts between vendors and service providers. Detail-oriented and highly organized, you are proficient in maintaining contracts, handling contract renewals, and establishing new service engagements. You also manage required legal notifications and filings on OnMed’s behalf. With a proactive approach and exceptional communication skills, you thrive in a remote, dynamic, and fast-paced environment, and are adept at juggling multiple priorities while supporting the General Counsel with other legal work as needed. Your ability to manage and organize legal documents effectively will be key in supporting OnMed’s legal and business functions.

What you will be doing

  • Contract Management: Organizing, maintaining, evaluating, and administering contracts and agreements with vendors, strategic partners, and plan sponsors. Assisting in the preparation of standard agreements, including reviewing and addressing exception requests in master service agreements and statements of work. Serving as custodian of all pending and executed contracts, and other legal documents, including managing version control, finalization, and storage of all assigned contracts. Reviewing existing agreements, summarizing rights and obligations, and managing legal notifications and filings.
  • Legal Support and Project Management: Preparing, organizing, and maintaining legal files and databases. Managing various legal projects and deadlines, liaising with internal departments, and contributing to the development and implementation of OnMed’s policies and procedures. Communicating OnMed’s contract policies and requirements to internal managers and employees. Addressing areas of concern in project management and contracting.
  • Compliance and Research: Staying updated on legislative changes and providing legal research on key issues. Filing annual reports and maintaining corporate, intellectual property, and other state and federal filings.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Handling general legal and administrative tasks as assigned and participating in special projects as needed. Performing such other duties as may be assigned by the General Counsel at her discretion from time to time.

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Liberal Arts, or a related field.
  • Certification or degree in paralegal studies from an American Bar Association approved program preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in a corporate paralegal role with a strong background in contract administration.
  • Expertise in applicable state and federal laws, contract management, and prevalent practices.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple assignments with attention to detail and confidentiality, while managing time effectively.
  • Familiarity with legal database software and document management systems.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships.
