There will be some flexibility to arrange your schedule at the beginning of the school year, but then it is expected that schedule will be maintained throughout the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. It is good pay, great schools, great experience, at a great company


You will be hired as an independent contractor, which offers no benefits but pays at a higher rate.


For the right applicant, this position could end up being multiple years, with increased hours. All individuals hired as motor technicians for me thus far have all gotten accepted into OT school. 


Information:

You must be able and willing to work with students with a variety of disabilities/diagnoses, collaborate with and keep supervising Occupational Therapist (OT) informed of student progress and needs, build strong relationships with school personnel, and be independent in treating students under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist. 


Hours: 1 day/week in person (this can be split into 2 partial days)
Schedule: Direct, weekly services are provided by the Motor Technician during elementary school hours (around 8:00 am to 3:30 pm). You work around the school schedule and have all weekends, school observed holidays, and summers off.
Location: West Jordan, UT


Requirements: 

  • Commit to working entire 2024-2025 school year (mid-August through May)
  • Be professional, consistent, and reliable
  • Demonstrate flexibility to meet school needs
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with administration, students, faculty
  • Executing high quality, appropriate and engaging therapeutic treatment as per IEP and student needs (you will be trained on this)
  • Ability to communicate with Occupational Therapist regarding student needs
  • Ability to be independent while also following OT treatment plans
  • Ability to meet all IEP student minutes
  • Have reliable transportation to/from schools
