Program Protection Security Specialist

JHNA Technology Security is currently seeking a Program Protection Security Specialist, Journeyman, to support security laboratory facilities for a NAVAIR Program Office. Be proficient and capable of execution of duties pertaining to personnel security, physical security, and information security. Implement security processes necessary to protect classified information, with strict adherence to NISPOM, DoDM 5200.01 Vol. 1-3, DODI 5200.02, DoDI 5200.48, and other applicable Executive Order and DoD regulations. This position will require routine interface with all levels of management and government customers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist the Program Office with access control to a security facility.
- Maintain compliance with the US Government security regulations and directives.
- Review visit requests.
- Support scheduling and setup of Secure Video Teleconferences with industry and government agencies.
- Ensure that all classified materials held by the site are compliant with the regulations and directives, which govern marking, handling, controlling, removing, transporting, sanitizing, reusing, and destroying classified information and equipment containing classified information.
- Resolve other related program Security issues.
- Conduct monthly breach checks.
- Review DD-254s and contract Statements of Work for completeness and accuracy.
Qualifications Required:
- 5 or more years of experience in DoD/DoN Security and a High School Diploma.
- Familiarity with OPSEC, PERSEC, INFOSEC, PHYSEC
- Strong writing ability and be comfortable with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Outlook, MS Teams and be familiar with using Sharepoint functions.
- STRONG INITIATIVE and a "CAN DO" attitude with ability to operate with minimal supervision. Flexibility is required.
- Interim clearance required to start.
Qualifications Desired:
- SECRET clearance
- Experience with JPAS/DISS/NBIS is a plus.
- A strong administrative skillset.
