Job DescriptionJob Description Department: Educational InstructionJob Description                                                                                                                                        JD – EITESSICTitle: Elementary Instructional Tech and PK – 12th ELAR/SS Instructional Coach         Job Summary:The Elementary Instructional Tech and PK – 12th ELAR/SS Instructional Coach is responsible for providing instructional leadership, support, and guidance to ELAR/SS teachers to enhance teaching practices and improve student outcomes. This role involves collaborating with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective math instruction strategies, curriculum, and assessments. This position plays a vital role in supporting teachers in integrating technology effectively into elementary instruction and providing instructional coaching for English Language Arts and Social Studies across all grade levels.Lines of Authority:Reports to the Curriculum Coordinator and PrincipalsEducation:Bachelor’s Degree RequiredRequired Personal Qualities:

Required Qualifications:
  • Current Teaching Certification
  • Previous experience as a math teacher with proven track record of improving student achievement.
  • Strong knowledge of math content standards, curriculum frameworks, and instructional best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in facilitating professional development and coaching teachers.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and assessment literacy.
Skills:
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Organizational management skills. Ability to communicate with students, teachers, parents and members of the community. Ability to exercise good judgment and work in an environment with frequent interruptions.

  • Teachers may spend long hours standing, walking around the classroom, and carrying materials. Additionally, they may need to participate in activities such as recess supervision or field trips.

Essential Functions

  1. Responsibilities:
  • Explore and recommend innovative technology solutions that can enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with teachers to design and implement technology-enhanced lessons that align with the curriculum objectives.
  • Integrate a variety of digital resources, tools, and platforms to support teaching and learning across different subjects.
  • Provide guidance on how to adapt and modify existing lesson plans to incorporate technology effectively.
  • Collaborate with chapel leaders and teachers to design and implement technology-driven chapel sessions that align with the spiritual values of the school.
  • Curate and develop digital resources, including music, videos, and interactive activities, to support chapel themes and messages.
  • Provide technical assistance during chapel sessions, troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
  1. Pre-K – 12th ELAR / Social Studies Instructional Coaching:
  • Serve as an instructional coach for Pre-K – 12th grade teachers in the areas of English Language Arts and Social Studies.
  • Conduct classroom observations, provide feedback, and offer personalized support to teachers to improve instructional practices and student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement differentiated instructional strategies and interventions to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Facilitate professional learning communities focused on enhancing ELAR and Social Studies instruction through data analysis, curriculum development, and instructional planning.
  1. Professional Development:
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions and workshops for teachers, helping them develop proficiency in using educational technology tools.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technology trends and share relevant information with the teaching staff.
  • Provide one-on-one support and coaching to teachers to address their individual technology integration needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers during PLCs to support data driven instructional practices through the lens of technology integration.
  1. Resource Management:
  • Evaluate and recommend educational software, applications, and online resources that align with the curriculum and educational goals.
  • Assist in the management of the school's technology resources, ensuring they are well-maintained, up-to-date, and easily accessible to teachers and students.
  1. Digital Citizenship and Safety:
  • Teach students about responsible and ethical use of technology, emphasizing digital citizenship, online safety, and appropriate behavior in the digital world.
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop and implement policies for safe and responsible technology use within the school community.
  1. Assessment and Data Analysis:
  • Support data driven instruction (NWEA) with technology-enhanced activities to inform instructional decisions and identify areas for improvement.
  1. Additional:
  • Work collaboratively with the IT/AV team to support the technology needs of Elementary chapel.
  • Provide classroom instruction in the event we are unable to fill substitute vacancies.
  • Organize and develop end of year picture slideshows for Kindergarten graduation and 5th grade awards banquet.
  1. Provide for the care and protection of school property.
  1. Participate in the activities of the school.
  1. Interacts thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff and community.
  1. Attends work regularly and is punctual.
  1. Attends in-service training and staff meetings.
