Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operation of water treatment facilities, including monitoring equipment performance, adjusting treatment processes, and ensuring optimal efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and water quality testing to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain the highest quality of drinking water.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Coordinate and perform routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and equipment upgrades to ensure uninterrupted operation of water treatment systems.
  • Training and Supervision: Provide guidance and training to junior operators, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of operational data, maintenance activities, and regulatory compliance, and prepare reports for submission to regulatory agencies as required.


Qualifications
  • Certification: Must possess a valid Water Treatment Class 3 or 4 Operator certification issued by the Louisiana Department of Health.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working in water treatment operations, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
  • Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of water treatment processes, equipment, and instrumentation.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Compliance: Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to water treatment operations, including safety standards and environmental guidelines.
