We are seeking a QMA to work 1st shift in our facility. This is for a fulltime position and will be working in our healthcare unit. QMA's start out at $20.00/hour with an additional $0.25/hour added per year of experience (with a cap of 15 years). The candidate will be required to work every other weekend and holiday. We offer an additional $2.00/hour for weekend differentials and double-time pay for holidays worked.

As a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) at Christian Care Retirement Community, you will play a crucial role in providing attentive care and administering medications to our valued senior residents under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve assisting residents with activities of daily living, monitoring their overall health and wellbeing, preparing and administering various oral, nasal, eye, ear, rectal, and vaginal medications as prescribed by physicians, and carefully observing and documenting any reactions or side effects. You will count, procure, administer, and document the use of all controlled substances per facility policies and procedures. As a QMA, you will help ensure medications are given correctly and on time by maintaining detailed records in each resident's medical charts. Your observation skills, attention to detail, and compassion for older adults will be critical in this position. Although you will report directly to licensed nurses and assist them as needed, you may also be assigned to work alongside Certified Nursing Assistants on the floor when extra hands are required to provide residents with quality care. With strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, you will help provide compassionate, professional care to our residents while learning and growing in your healthcare career.
