Job Summary:
The Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration systems, including commercial refrigeration units, residential refrigerators, and HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and a customer-focused attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and residential refrigeration systems.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and service checks on refrigeration units to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in refrigeration systems.
  • Perform system adjustments, calibrations, and modifications as needed.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and repair faults.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed, including time and materials used.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices through continuous education and training.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field is preferred
  • Proven experience as a HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigerants.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record as outlined with our company policy. 
  • Must be able to pass a satisfactory background screening. .
  • EPA 608 certification (preferred).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 to 75 pounds; frequently lift and or move up to 100 pounds with assistance and heavy lift equipment. 
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods and climbing up and down of ladders.
  • Extensive daily travel to work site locations. 
  • Exposure to electrical, steam, and high heat units that require extreme caution and safety equipment.
