You’ll take direction from the project manager to help construct and maintain strong and long-lasting buildings and products. You are great at reading blueprints and have excellent hand dexterity, with a can-do attitude. $25 - $29 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Check existing sketches and blueprints to understand project requirements
• Ensure roofing, floorings, and drywall are compatible and level
• Calculate, shape, cut, and smooth materials
• Sculpt and piece together siding, drywall, kitchen cabinets, and furniture
• Conduct inspections, maintenance, and fix structures

• Carpentry Work: Execute all aspects of carpentry work involved in residential remodeling projects, including framing, trim work, cabinetry installation, door and window installation, and custom woodworking
• Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret and follow construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation of design plans
• Material Selection and Procurement: Assist in selecting appropriate materials and supplies for each project, ensuring compatibility with design requirements and budget constraints. Procure materials as needed, maintain inventory levels and track usage
• Precision Measurements: Take precise measurements and make accurate cuts to ensure a proper fit and finish for all carpentry installations
• Structural Integrity: Ensure the structural integrity and stability of all carpentry work, adhering to building codes and safety standards
• Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members, including project managers, subcontractors, and clients, to coordinate project timelines and deliverables
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process, employing creative problem-solving techniques to achieve optimal outcomes
• Quality Assurance: Maintain a high standard of quality in all carpentry work, conducting thorough inspections and addressing any deficiencies promptly to ensure client satisfaction
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on the job site, promoting a culture of safety among team members and subcontractors
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily progress reports, material usage, and any deviations from the original plan

Qualifications:

• Strong physical condition and excellent hand dexterity
• Proficient in carpentry tools, techniques, and materials
• Precise measuring and math skills are required
• Must have valid driver’s license
• We prefer if you have a high school diploma or GED

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a carpenter, with a focus on residential remodeling projects
• Carpentry Skills: Proficiency in all aspects of carpentry, including framing, trim work, cabinetry installation, and finish carpentry. Experience with custom woodworking is a plus
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to residential construction
• Tools and Equipment: Proficient in the use of carpentry tools and equipment, including power saws, drills, nail guns, and measuring devices. Own tools and reliable transportation are required
• Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship, with a focus on producing high-quality workmanship and precise installations
• Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with team members, subcontractors, and clients
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues independently to keep projects on track and within budget
• Physical Stamina: Good physical condition with the ability to perform tasks that require manual labor and work in various weather conditions
• Safety Consciousness: Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for oneself and others, with knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices
