We are looking to hire 1 individual to join our small family business team of 23 employees to support our distribution department. Employees enjoy flexible and consistent work assignments both in a warehouse environment.


Primary work schedule: Monday-Friday 7:45 am -5:00pm with 30 minute lunch. Hours may vary by season. Seasonal overtime is available


The job typically requires the ability to follow demonstrated directions, and all training is typically given on-the-job, or equivalent. Incumbents perform a variety of production duties, such as tending machines, handling product, visual sorting or inspection, packing, or performing other operations that can be learned on-the-job in a short time. Work requires frequent moving, frequent exertion of moderate to heavy physical effort or frequent standing. Frequent interactions with the public by taking and cutting orders for customers.  


We are looking for somebody with the following:                                                                                    


  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ensure customer orders are filled accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Assisting all customers with potential purchases of steel by cutting and loading steel orders and suggestive selling.
  • Manual material handling; pulls and cuts orders physically and/or with a forklift according to proper lifting procedures.
  • Setup and runs equipment: saws, iron worker, drill presses, punches, standard shear, press brake and other equipment when trained.
  • Handle customer orders and special orders with proper documentation and paperwork.
  • Uses a tape measure and digital calipers to identify and accurately label material sizes and dimensions.
  • Maintains active memory of fractions and reading a tape measure.
  • Receives shipments and paperwork. Reviews carefully for accuracy and discrepancies. Put shipments away in safe but timely manner.
  • Drives forklift; loading, unloading and securing materials onto trucks and trailers.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly warehouse, using proper storage areas while considering; size, weight, and related factors of items stored.
  • Maintain equipment by changing consumables and recommending necessary professional maintenance.  Operates all equipment in a safe manner in compliance with safety procedures.

  • Be flexible- open to work overtime if necessary
  • Self- motivated, hard-working, and be able to work independently
  • Be extremely safety conscious and wear safety protection equipment (PPE) 
  • Able to safely lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Communicate verbally and in writing as required 
  • Must be team focused
  • Valid Oregon drivers license ( Hiring will be based on applicants ability to be approved to drive through our insurance. )
