Education and Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse setting processing shipments
  • High School Diploma/ GED preferred

Work Hours:

  • 1st Shift: 06:30 AM - 4 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 02:30 PM - 12 AM
  • 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM

Primary Work Area: Warehouse, Office

Work Environment:

This job operates in a food production and warehouse setting. The facility is not mechanically temperature controlled and at times will require work in hot temperatures. The floor surface is concrete. The noise level is moderate with no vibration. Material movement takes place throughout the facility.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work on feet, while using tools to perform repetitive actions
  • Hearing and speaking to exchange information.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling moderately heavy objects as assigned by position.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate food service equipment.
  • Reaching overhead, above shoulders and horizontally.
  • Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching.
  • Seeing to monitor quality and quantity.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintain personal GMP and Food Safety compliance at all times
  • Routine duties of checking in drivers, review Bill of Lading, verify trailer seals, schedule appointments, maintain shipping and/or receiving documentation, reconcile receipt information, and maintain daily reports.
  • Ability to drive a forklift (preferred but not required)
  • Prepares orders by processing shipments and sample orders; packing boxes; staging orders in delivery area
  • Verify that the goods are intact and report any defects.
  • Scheduling of products and communication of dock services
  • Completes receipt and delivery of parcel packages to order requestor(s)
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Communicate and cooperate with Supervisors and coworkers.
  • Follow and Enforce all OSHA Safety Regulation and Safety Rules.
  • Report and Address any Safety concerns to Safety Committee.
  • Monitor hold log daily, inform production staff of holds and dispositions per the hold log; monitor disposition of products
  • Assist in short term, midterm and long-term management initiatives, program implementation and continuous improvement.
