We are searching for an experienced Wastewater Coordinator to work with the Wastewater and Stormwater Manager to ensure all aspects of wastewater and stormwater management are in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.

This position will travel to other depots 2-3 weeks per month for training. Once training is complete travel will be 2 weeks per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be able to assist locations in the maintenance and repair of the wastewater system, including diagnosis and bringing in third party companies.
  • Be able to perform training for the following: 1) wastewater and stormwater sampling, 2) pH meter installation, 3) permit reviews and compliance.
  • General understanding of wastewater processes and mechanical knowledge of the different wastewater systems and how they function.
  • Perform troubleshooting of wastewater pretreatment systems.
  • Setup discharge tracking logs and conduct periodic review.
  • Review past violations and conduct facility level one-on-one training to prevent recurrence.
  • Understand chemical usage and spend to help facilities maintain sufficient supplies to ensure continual wastewater treatment.
  • Understand wastewater system critical components to make sure extra parts are readily available to ensure continual wastewater treatment.
  • Currently have at least one wastewater treatment license from a certified state.
  • Conduct reviews and training of all plans to include SWPPP, BMPs and SPCC.
  • Work with EHS Training Department to develop and deliver training on wastewater pretreatment operations, stormwater sampling and recordkeeping.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Previous experience working in wastewater treatment or environmental management.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to travel 50% - 75%.
