Description

We are looking for an Information Technology Manager to join our team. As the leader of a cross-functional IT team you will administer systems, engineering and corporate, maintain software, lead vendor selection, manage budget for IT across the business. You will help define our IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes. You will also manage information technology and computer systems as well as ensure the security of our data, network, and backup systems.

Location:

  • Purple Carrot HQ is in Needham, MA and prefers local candidates to work in a hybrid model, 2-3 days a week with occasional travel (less than 10%)

On the Plate

  • Manage information technology and information security systems, policies, procedures, and training (ex: privacy policies and incident response plans).
  • Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization and our internal engineering team in order to plan and administer IT and electronic data operations.
  • Assess current information architecture and support the formalization of information architecture to improve internal access to information.
  • Continually audit and monitor performance of systems, identify problematic areas, recommend, and implement strategic solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Trouble-shoot and solve problems related to hardware, software, and network assets. Develop test strategies for new hardware and software.
  • Contribute to and manage help desk and ticketing support.
  • Manage vendor selection and relationships for 3rd Party tooling, products and services.
  • Streamline and automate critical corporate processes (On/Off-boarding employees, security audits, incident response).
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as necessary.

Main Ingredients for the Role

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Operations
  • 1+ year experience managing individuals
  • Experience leading IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies and departments.
  • Strong collaborative, customer service orientated approach to IT problem solving.
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems.
  • Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices; stay apprised of changes in the industry and industry alerts.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to self-prioritize.
  • Experience with G-suite
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
