Job Title: On-Call Event Bartender
Department: Food & Beverage
Company: The Goodstone Inn & Restaurant
Reports To: F&B Manager / Head Bartender / Banquet Captain

Job Summary:
Bartenders are critical in delivering the exceptional guest experience that is central to Goodstone's mission. Based on extensive knowledge of menu and beverage options, Bartenders prepare and serve beverages for the bar, lounge, and dining room guests according to established recipes and presentation guidelines.

Essential Functions

  • Have a working knowledge of wine, beer, spirits/cocktails, and appropriate pours for each.
  • Maintain the bar top and back bar area in a clean and organized manner, and follow all sanitation, food handling, and liquor laws and regulations
  • Partner with Servers and other team members to ensure that every guest receives exceptional service and hospitality
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Two or more years as a Bartender with extensive knowledge of alcoholic beverages, cocktails and wine
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have an understanding of state and local liquor laws
  • High school or equivalent
Job Type:
Part-Time: Must be able to work a varied schedule, including AM, Mid, PM shifts, weekdays, weekends, holidays

Supervisory Responsibility:
No

Work Environment:
  • Must be able to work inside and out in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
  • Must be able to communicate with the head bartender/event captain to ensure the bar is ready to go for any specifications for the event.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently expected to stand for long periods, walk, climb stairs comfortably, reach with hands and arms, and requires the ability to lift products and supplies of up to 50 pounds occasionally.
