Job DescriptionJob Description

The essential functions listed are typical examples of work performed by positions in this job classification and are not a comprehensive list of all duties, tasks, or responsibilities.

  • Take and record vital signs
  • Administer injections as directed by the physician
  • Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments
  • Answer phones
  • Greet patients with a positive attitude
  • Ensure all forms and consents are completed by patient
  • Manage tasks in EHR inbox/e-mails
  • Process medication prior authorizations

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED and completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be a team player
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times.
  • Must be detail oriented/goal oriented
  • Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • CPR certified-BLS
