This is an in-office role, requiring availability to work out of our Logan UT headquarters.
Job Overview
As a Warranty Specialist, you will administer all aspects of the Visionary Homes Warranty policy. This will include handling warranty claims, assessing them to see if they comply with the rules of the Visionary Homes Warranty Agreement, and making decisions about work to be done on behalf of Visionary Homes.
The job entails reviewing claims, assessing them for approval or denial, processing warranty claims, being a point of contact for our homeowners, assisting in scheduling appointments for repair and seeing them through to completion.
Our goal is to give our homeowners an exceptional experience You will work closely with homeowners, construction trades, and all other working departments of Visionary Homes.
Responsibilities
Receive and review new warranty claims.
Input and process new warranty claims.
Set appointments with homeowners pertaining to items deemed warrantable.
Review every service request, manage assignments, and offer preliminary guidance as needed to properly prepare the Home Warranty Claims Resolution Specialist for working on each claim.
Review all completed warranty request forms as they are returned to the office.
Generate reports to manage the current number of “outstanding” and “completed” warranty service requests per community.
Communicate regularly with our trade partners.
Design and implement improved processes and operational policies.
Work toward lowering the average completion time for requests from homeowners.
Meet with homeowners and subcontractors to resolve issues as needed.
Conduct all business professionally and ethically to serve customers
Qualifications/Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in customer service, warranty administration, and other related experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with homeowners, subcontractors, and internal team members
Proficiency with MS Office and email. Ability to learn and navigate warranty management software
Strong ability to problem solve and multi-task; creative thinking for resolving issues or improving products
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Ability to occasionally walk around job sites and in homes
