Position Summary:

Systems Administrator is responsible for the management of new and existing enterprise business systems. The ideal candidate would have a passion for learning new business systems and technology in a fast-paced environment with experience with SQL and supporting manufacturing environments. Receives work direction from the Director of IT on work priorities and daily assignments.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Including the following:

  • Maintain, support, implement, upgrade, and deploy critical databases and applications to meet business requirements
  • Create queries, export and import data into databases
  • Maintain custom application/s with help of developers
  • Create reports to use for KPI’s and other needs
  • Secures application system by enforcing policies, defining and monitoring access.
  • Reporting application operational status by gathering application metrics into reviews per business
  • Monitor, analyze and measure database performance and storage needs
  • Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing process for modifications to databases
  • Windows Systems environment and performs Operating System and patch testing on all changes prior to installation.
  • Write and execute basic PowerShell or Command Shell commands.
  • Help with creating/editing policies and procedures related to IT.
  • Writes basic technical documentation for instructions and administrative tasks.
  • Crosstrain with others in IT to ensure the department can maintain a stable environment.
  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, installation, and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, printers, and office automation equipment.
  • Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
  • Assists users and information technology staff with desktop technology basic information and configurations. Performs basic troubleshooting for desktop hardware and software.
  • Investigate and diagnose problems, monitor performance, test for weaknesses, collect statistics and make recommendation for improving software, hardware, upgrades, patches, re-configurations and/or purchases the company’s IT systems and carrying out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions.
  • Responds to critical IT emergencies after regular work hours as needed
  • Help Maintain inventory of hardware and software. Administers systems, repairs, and licensing.
  • Supports annual IT and IT Security audits, including creating action plans, and responsibilities for remediation.
  • Help Ensure the proper day-to-day operations of internal applications and peripheral equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Experience in supporting C level and other levels of management and knowledge of technology within a business.
