 General Summary of Position:The Director of Education is responsible for managing day-to-day operations including maintaining full enrollment, and monitoring CCDF attendance, continuous quality improvement.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with local and state regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor Child Care Development Fund (CCDF).
  • The director shall work on site during the child care center’s scheduled hours of operation.
  • Responsible for direct supervision and evaluation of classroom staff.
  • Responsible for ensuring staff have monthly professional development training.
  • Ensure that classroom observations are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the use of Creative Curriculum is implemented within the classroom setting.
  • Assist with recruitment and enrollment of students.
  • Engage with parents including addressing student accidents and/or incidents.
  • Employee performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain strict adherence to the company code of conduct, policies and procedures including being a mandated reporter.

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field from an accredited college or university, with a grade of C or better. Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in an early childhood program.
  • Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and basic math skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Must have a valid Indiana driver's license, reliable transportation, and show proof of current auto insurance because travel is required.
  • Must pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Must be able to lift at least fifty (50) pounds.
  • Must maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor, a positive attitude, and be a team player.
  • Must be sensitive to the needs and problems of children with disabilities.
Salary:
Annual salary range $60,000. to 65,000. Benefits package includes a medical insurance reimbursement after 90 days of employment, PTO and sick time.
