JOB TITLE: Materials Clerk – Outbound Logistics
Club Car boasts a 60+ year history of industry-leading innovation and design, initially focused on golf cars and then expanding to commercial utility vehicles and personal-use transportation.
Under the direction of the Outbound Freight Lead, actively ensure various tasks related to staging, storage, transfer, and delivery of materials by picklist/order number and quantity are manifested and loaded into carrier trailers. Actively participate in the training and audit process.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Assumes additional leadership responsibilities whenever the Team Lead is not available.
- Identifies and records any problems relating to the product, process, or systems.
- Assists with the training and instruction of new employees assigned to the area. Must be a certified MHE trainer.
- Initiates, recommends and provides solutions through appropriate channels and verifies implementation.
- Communicate with appropriate cross-functional team members to ensure processes are followed, and any problems are resolved in a timely manner.
- Audits processes and procedures to ensure standard work is maintained.
- Adheres to and monitors all Environmental Health & Safety requirements.
- Works with continuous improvement group to facilitate improvements and streamline processes.
- Ensures all employees have the equipment and supplies needed to perform the jobs in their areas.
- Performs dock checks and utilizes various reports to complete audits.
- Timely and accurate disposition of non-conforming material.
- Uses bar code computers to audit freight process.
- Safely operates assigned material handling equipment. Ensures that all equipment in use has been inspected and is in safe operating condition. Reports all accidents and unsafe conditions to supervisor and records in Gensuite as directed.
- Maintains a safe and productive work environment by ensuring the work area is clear of tools, brooms, debris, and other items that may present a hazard.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
Education:
- High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
Experience:
- Previous Forklift experience required.
- Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook applications.
- Proficient in AS400 and Transportation Management Systems.
- Safety management mindset.
- Focus on quality control.
- Problem solving.
- Work requires periodic stooping/bending and frequent walking/standing throughout the day.
- Requires occasional lifting of objects less than 25 pounds as well as occasional lifting of objects 25 to 50 pounds.
- Work involves activities that require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, or vehicles.
- Requires use of protective clothing.
