Our Berks County Division, located in Reading, PA, is currently searching for a Lead/Master Diesel Technician due to growth

Hours:

  • 2:00pm - 12:00am
  • OT Available

What You Will Do:

  • Perform diagnostic, repair and maintenance on trucks, construction equipment, including auxiliary components in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Knowledgeable in the safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists and jacking equipment.
  • Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs.
  • Adhere to manufacturer’s warranty policies and procedures.
  • Capability to independently analyze and safely resolve problems
  • Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units
  • Special projects and other job duties as assigned.

You Have:

  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • 5- 10 years of experience as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic
  • Experience with diagnostics and diagnostic software
  • Knowledge in the safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists and jacking equipment.
  • Ability to Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret technical data via instruction manuals.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to learn new systems and software
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be organized and motivated to succeed with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • The ability to work towards a personal "Best in Class" standard

You Might Have:

  • A Diesel Engine Technical degree
  • A commercial drivers license (CDL), A or B
  • PA State Inspection License (highly desired)
  • ASEs
  • Your own tools
