Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to oversee the development of de novo dental practices and facilities. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing the end-to-end process of establishing new dental practices, from conducting demographic research to overseeing construction and ensuring a seamless hand-off to operations post-launch. This role requires a strong understanding of construction, on-site evaluations, vendor management, and project management within the dental industry. Prior experience in Dental Service Organizations (DSOs) is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

De Novo Development:

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of de novo dental practice launches.
  • Conduct thorough demographic research to identify optimal locations for new practices.
  • Oversee construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth construction processes.

Operationalization:

  • Work with the Dentive operations team to activate new dental practices (outline staffing needs, marketing, and other launch initiatives to pass of to operations)
  • Coordinate with the Dentive marketing team to promote new practices and attract patients.
  • Engage with the Dentive recruitment team to activate the recruitment and hiring process for dental staff, including dentists, hygienists, and administrative personnel.

Facilities Management:

  • Address facility-related issues through proactive relationship management with vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure that dental facilities meet regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
  • Oversee equipment procurement and maintenance to support optimal clinical operations.

Travel and On-Site Support:

  • Be willing to travel frequently to various locations to provide on-site support during the de novo process.
  • Actively engage with local teams and stakeholders, demonstrating a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Monitor the progress of new practices and facilities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing de novo dental practice development, preferably within a Dental Service Organization (DSO).
  • Strong understanding of the dental industry, including market trends, regulatory requirements, and operational best practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in vendor management, contract negotiation, and facility maintenance.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site as needed.
  • A results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving operational excellence and driving business growth.
