Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHealthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for an Epidemiologist. The position requires an individual who is trained in epidemiology with experience in program evaluation. The position will support the TRL team in evaluating the program as it moves into its third year including updating the logic model and evaluation plan, designing surveys, key informant interviews, and other data collection activities as well as using qualitative analysis to analyze the results. The position will also assist the program by ensuring that the current data management system meets program needs, querying the system for eligible and ineligible retailers, and creating GIS maps to determine compliance with the 500 ft rule.
Assignment length: three-month assignments.
Pay Rate-
$40/hr
Start date: 4/2
Location: hybrid schedule with one in-office day (Thursdays) in Kearny Mesa

Job Duties
  • Conduct analyses of surveillance data
  • Prepare interpretation of findings and disseminate recommended prevention and control measures

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, ArcGIS, SPSS, and Dedooce software.
  • A Masters degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in epidemiology or its equivalent and three years of experience assisting in the design, conduct, and evaluation of epidemiologic studies and field investigations OR- A Doctoral degree form an accredited college or university with specialization in epidemiology or its equivalent,infectious diseases or equivalent
  • A valid Class C California Drivers License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
