Job DescriptionJob Description

Ideal candidate will be required to multi-task and provide excellent patient services as an ATC with our practice. This position will work in multiple office locations.


Responsibilities:


  • Splinting and casting application and removal
  • Brace fitting and crutch training
  • Teaching and instructing exercise programs
  • Review of lab results, MRI and other study results
  • Managing prior authorizations of medications and imaging
  • Communication with MDs and PAs regarding patient care

Competencies:


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and co-workers

Qualifications:


  • Must have current BOC certification
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the State of CT
  • At least one year of experience, preferably within an orthopedic practice, is preferred; New grads may apply
  • Ability to travel to several clinics on a weekly/daily basis
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Electronic Medical Records

Candidates will be courteous, articulate and reliable, and must be able to multitask in a busy, professional, fast-moving environment while maintaining excellent customer service.
