Granite Install Helper

Job Title: Granite Install Helper                      Reports to: General Manager
Location: Westlake, Oh                                  FLSA Status:  Full- Time, Hourly

Job Summary:

Ground Works Land Design is looking for a highly motivated Countertop Install Helper that wants to join a quickly growing company with great growth opportunity.  Candidates will perform installation of countertops in Residential and Commercial settings including new construction sites, homes, commercial buildings, and offices. Candidate will work and learn alongside our Lead Installer. Ability to work with power tools and practice problem solving when necessary. Open to daily travel and must be able to lift 50 pounds. A new opportunity awaits at Ground Works Land Design

Supervisory Responsibilities:

No direct supervisory responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Installation of natural and manmade stone countertops
• Removal of laminate, tile, Corian, and other existing countertop surface materials
• On the job critical thinking to ensure jobs are completed promptly and according to our company’s quality standards
• Maintain good working relationships with coworkers and supervisors
• Fix issues as they are presented onsite
• Follow standard operating procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follows company policies and procedures.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Educations and Experience:

• Industry experience not necessary, but a plus
• Willingness to learn new skills and become cross trained in different areas of shop work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High School diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

• Physically able to lift, push, pull more than 50 lbs.
• Able to stand, sit, walk, move, squat, walk or climb for long periods of time
• Able to operate heavy equipment (forklifts and cranes) a plus
