Job DescriptionJob DescriptionRole and Responsibilities- Demonstrate proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment and materials
- Actively promote safety as the company’s number one priority
- Capable of reading a tape measure
- Working safely
- Providing any assistance necessary to ensure your team members work safely as well
- Identify and properly use, inspect and maintain personal protective equipment, including but not limited to: boots, glasses, hardhat, gloves, face shield, goggles, leathers, earplugs
- Ability to assist with developing and maintaining all equipment maintenance records in an organized manner as directed
- Ability to assist with equipment maintenance, including washing and cleaning equipment as directed
- Ability to clean up work area during and after completing jobs and know correct method of disposal of waste as directed
- Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work
- Be willing and able to work a variety of schedules on-call, including dayshift, nightshift, weekend and holidays, and also be willing to travel and work out of town when necessary
- Ability to assist with general duties as directed
- Comply with all policies and procedures
- A valid driver’s license is required at the time of hire and as a condition of continued employment
- 2 years’ experience or more in rubber lining a plus
- Excellent team player with a flexible and open attitude
- Professional level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand, read, and write the English language.
- General understanding of plant processes, mechanical and hydraulic equipment
- Ability to fully understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
- Ability to complete time sheets and production reports in a timely fashion
- Ability and willingness to communicate with staff members and customers clearly, effectively, and professionally directed
- Ability to drive a fork-lift, and to learn and implement all safety requirements associated with driving a fork-lift
- Know, understand, and be capable of utilizing emergency response protocol during an accident
- Ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Ability to communicate with staff members and customers clearly and effectively
- Ability to work independently with little supervision, as well as work effectively as part of a team
- Clarity of vision at varying distances to perform various work assignments.
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Reaching overhead, above the shoulders, and horizontally.
- Occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling object(s) weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Climbing ladders and working from heights as necessary.
- The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.
