Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOverviewAs a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care to pediatric patients. You will be responsible for ensuring the overall well-being and health of the patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and implementing evidence-based nursing interventions to enhance patient outcomes. Your dedication to compassionate care and clinical expertise will be essential in meeting the unique healthcare needs of pediatric patients and their families.
Key responsibilities
  • Conducting clinical assessments and monitoring the health status of patients
  • Administering medications and treatments according to established protocols
  • Collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals to implement patient care plans
  • Providing compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients
  • Assisting with medical procedures and ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Educating patients and their families on health management and preventive care
  • Documenting patient information, nursing assessments, and interventions accurately
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to care coordination
  • Assessing the psychosocial needs of pediatric patients and providing support
  • Adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring a safe healthcare environment
  • Responding to emergencies and initiating appropriate interventions
  • Participating in continuous training and professional development activities
  • Adhering to ethical and legal nursing standards and promoting patient advocacy

Required qualifications
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida
  • Experience in a pediatric care setting, preferably with medically complex patients
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting clinical assessments and developing patient care plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced and challenging environments
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to deliver comprehensive nursing care
  • Commitment to maintaining current knowledge and skills in pediatric nursing practices
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards, compliance requirements, and patient safety principles
