Position Summary

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk will perform all responsibilities necessary to oversee all shipping and receiving processes. They are responsible for ensuring products, materials, and supplies quickly and accurately flow in and out of the facility.


Duties & Responsibilities

· Create and prepare part orders.

· Prepare the billing of all completed part orders, including assembly of costs, and entry into Sage ERP.

· Aid in requesting and updating purchase orders from customers.

· Supports Customer Service Specialist with day-to-day duties in their absence or as needed.

· Maintains and updates Parts orders in order book.

· Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.

· Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

· Perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.

· Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.

· Responsible for coordinating arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.

· Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

· Inventory control and cycle counts.

· Required to make local pickups and deliveries to our customers using the Knowledge of logistics processes, as well as BOLs and other shipping documents.

· Interact and co-operate with all members of the organization, its suppliers, and clients/customers.

· Participate in educational opportunities & trainings.

Requirements:

Education & Qualifications

· High school diploma or GED preferred.

· Customer service-oriented mindset

· Ability to lift heavy objects.

· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

· Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

· Basic computer skills
