Position: Hydrostatic Testing Technician

Job Description:
As a Hydrostatic Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of equipment used in various oil and gas applications. From performing pressure tests to diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues, this position requires a diverse skill set and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pressure testing of pipes, pipelines, and vessels using pneumatic testing equipment to identify defective materials and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Perform static torque checks, analyze torque data, and make necessary adjustments to meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment used for pressure testing, including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Track, record, and monitor flange management activities, including on-site tagging, support for hydro-testing, and assurance of bolt tightening tools and equipment.
- Conduct internal and external root cause analysis in collaboration with engineering and quality control teams as needed.
- Use Microsoft Word and Excel to create maintenance and test reports for proper documentation and record-keeping.
Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience preferred, with a strong mechanical/hydraulic background.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings and follow oral and written instructions.
- Proficiency in operating general hand and air tools, as well as measurement equipment.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
