COMPANY:

Discovery Solutions seeks applicants for a Technician-Animal Care.

LOCATION:

Winslow, ME

SUMMARY:

To provide general poultry husbandry for the birds (chickens and turkeys) at the Winslow site. This role will primarily work Monday Friday. Additional hours may be required as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide appropriate care for the animals retained at the facilities and maintain/monitor the proper environmental conditions (temperature, feed, water, etc.).

Requires animal enclosures cleaning and disinfection, minor paint touch ups and other minor maintenance.

Strictly adhere to biosecurity measures in place and maintain the facility in a controlled and contaminant free manner through cleaning and disinfection.

Maintain cleanliness of the animal facilities, in a regulatory inspection condition at all times.

Maintain accurate records in accordance with USDA regulations.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a minimum of a high-school diploma or equivalent

Previous experience with animal care/husbandry, preferably with poultry

Excellent communication skills

Flexibility in adapting methods and skills.

Motivation to work independently as well as in a cooperative manner with others.

Shift is full time, Monday Friday, 7AM 3:30PM.

Weekend and holiday work may be required.
