Job Purpose:
As an Overnight Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our building and outdoor equipment and storage. The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think quickly in high-stress situations. Weekend Night Shift:

Friday, Saturday & Sunday: 7pm to 5am


Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
  • Maintain site security and watching for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
  • Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
  • Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
  • Provide assistance to employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Conduct routine checks of various locations during assigned rounds, with flexibility to adjust schedules for unusual conditions and documenting any deviations.
  • Perform guard duties including monitoring and responding to fire alarms, electronic security systems, and participating in emergency evacuation plans.
  • Promptly notify Executive Management, and if necessary, emergency services, in case of emergencies or incidents
  • Report potential hazards promptly
  • Follow established procedures for handling situations that may arise
  • Participate in random emergency exercises to test responsiveness and knowledge of emergency procedures, with documentation and review
  • Additional duties as assigned


Job Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk up to 100% of shift 
  • Must be able to get to and from work
  • Basic computer skills to include word and outlook
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures and first aid/CPR certification preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • 18 years of age and older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior security/law enforcement experience preferred
  • Must possess a valid DRIVERS LICENSE
  • Pass pre-employment drug testing
  • Must have, or have the ability to obtain a US Passport

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position involves work in our shop and at job sites where work will be performed both indoors and outdoors. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds with the assistance of an overhead crane. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand, walk, use fine finger manipulation, and use their hands to handle and grasp objects. The employee is occasionally required to climb and balance, bend, stoop, twist, and/or crouch. Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
