Job Summary: The Vehicle Exchange Program (VEP) Buyer is responsible for identifying potential customers for vehicle trade-ins, appraising trade-in vehicles, and facilitating the purchase of new Kia vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales and trade-ins, with a preference for those familiar with vAuto and Kelley Blue Book Instant Cash Offer (KBB-ICO) systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Outreach: Proactively contact existing customers to discuss vehicle trade-in opportunities and present them with options to upgrade to newer Kia models.
  • Vehicle Appraisal: Conduct thorough evaluations of trade-in vehicles to determine their current market value using tools such as vAuto and KBB-ICO.
  • Negotiation: Work closely with customers to negotiate trade-in values and purchase terms, ensuring a fair and satisfactory agreement for both parties.
  • Lead Generation: Generate leads for the sales team by identifying potential trade-in customers and scheduling appointments.
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team in closing deals by providing accurate trade-in appraisals and offering competitive trade-in deals.
  • Market Analysis: Stay updated on current market trends and vehicle values to provide customers with accurate and competitive offers.
  • Customer Service: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and addressing any concerns related to the trade-in process.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in vehicle sales and trade-ins.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with vAuto and Kelley Blue Book Instant Cash Offer (KBB-ICO) systems preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with the automotive industry, particularly Kia vehicles, is a plus.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
