PLR Talent Forward provides HR and talent sourcing services to credit unions in North and South Carolinas.  We are pleased to partner with Bragg Mutual Federal Credit Union  to assist with the identification of candidates for the position of Vice President of Lending.

Located in Fayetteville, NC, Bragg Mutual Federal Credit Union serves more than 100 different select employee groups in Southeaster North Carolina.  With 70 years of service to their members, they are proud to be the fourth oldest credit union in the state of North Carolina.       Serving in an executive leadership role, the Vice President of Lending is responsible the leadership and oversight of consumer lending, mortgage lending, commercial lending, and the collection function of the organization.  Will have oversight and management responsibility for the administration of the loan department, to include budgeting, training, supervision, and portfolio management.  

What you’ll do: 


  • Management of the credit union loan portfolio. 
  • Provides overall directions, coordination, and evaluation of lending professionals.  Interviews, hires, and trains employees; coaches, leads and counsels employees as required.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures consistent with laws and regulations, and in support of the credit unions goals and strategic direction
  • Ensures continuing education for all loan and collections staff
  • hands-on oversight of collections function, to include loan workout
  • Implement and manage HMDA reporting and tracking.  
  • Remains knowledgeable of legislative and regulatory initiatives and analyzes potential impacts on the credit union's lending operations.
  • Participates in strategic planning for the credit union.



To Qualify for this position, You’ll Need:  


  • Bachelor's degree in related field. Will consider strong experience in lieu of degree
  • At least years of relevant experience, to include:
    • Budgeting and Strategic Planning experience
    • management and training of lending programs and loan officers
    • loan underwriting
    • automobile lending
    • credit cards
    • loan operations
    • collections and work out experience
    • consumer and real estate lending
    • HDMA reporting and tracking
