  • Perform quality welds using MIG, TIG and or Laser processes
  • Use basic working knowledge of metals and characteristics of different alloys
  • Read and understand blueprints and welding callouts in designs
  • Use various measuring methods and tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and scales
  • Operate other hand-welding equipment and flame-cutting equipment such as oxyacetylene torch or similar for cutting, heating, or brazing
  • Conduct different assessments to verify critical weld requirements are met, such across-sectioning beads, measuring penetration, visual inspections, and dye penetrant tests
  • Understand fixturing and use of tools to achieve proper fitment of parts prior to welding
  • Proper use of all necessary safety protocols and personal protective equipment
  • Communicate effectively to work in a team environment to ensure safe and efficient work and help drive continual improvement
