Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform other duties within the warehouse.
Salary: $19.00 Per HourLocation: Latrobe, PAHours: 2:30 PM-11 PM ( Monday - Friday)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Material Handling: Safely operate a forklift or other powered industrial truck to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using appropriate systems (e.g., scanners, inventory software).
  • Inspection: Conduct daily inspections of the forklift and report any malfunctions or damage to the supervisor.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies regarding forklift operations.
  • Warehouse Support: Assist in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, including sweeping, sorting, and stacking.
  • Product Storage: Place merchandise in assigned storage locations, and ensure that it is properly stacked and secured.
  • Order Fulfillment: Assist in the picking and staging of orders, ensuring accurate fulfillment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations and address any issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience as a forklift operator is preferred.
  • Certification: Valid forklift operator certification is required.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of forklift operations and safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic math skills for inventory management.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more).
  • Good hand-eye coordination and physical fitness.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Environment: Must be able to work in varying temperatures, including outdoor conditions if necessary.
