Overview:

A Project Engineer's primary responsibility is to provide technical engineering information to the Project Manager to ensure compliance with project plans, codes, specifications, and design instructions. This role involves assisting in the evaluation and resolution of potential field problems, ensuring that the construction process is completed to the client's full satisfaction and meets the company's expected levels of safety, quality, and profitability.


Key Responsibilities:

As a Project Engineer, reporting to the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:


- Assisting with the development of startup checklists and site logistics plans.

- Supporting the creation of a quality control plan.

- Monitoring and assisting with the permit process.

- Preparing closeout logs and documenting owner training.

- Compiling as-built drawings and administering the RFI process.

- Developing and managing the submittal log and process.

- Documenting job site meetings and verifying project materials.

- Maintaining a material expediting log and coordinating quality control inspections.

- Ensuring accessibility of show drawings and submittals.

- Managing the RFP response process and progress photos.

- Assisting with Owner Change Requests and preparation of project status reports.


Requirements:

- High School Diploma or GED required.

- Working knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, and building materials.

- Ability to perform trigonometric calculations manually or with a calculator.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Procore experience preferred.
