Cat Sitter

Well established cat care company is looking for a part time or full time cat sitter to join our team of cat experts. Must be compassionate, passionate, caring cat lover who understands and can anticipate their needs and can interpret feline behavior. Must be experienced in caring for cats, with administering medication a plus. This is a highly specialized cat care service. Must be able and willing to follow instructions of client/employer and demonstrate strong communication skills (including listening) with a positive attitude. We are looking for professionals who could become leaders with our service Please be articulate, courteous, self-motivated, with a good deal of cat care experience. We are looking for those who can hit the ground running. You must be able to communicate with the business owner, clients (verbal and written) and your fellow staff members.

We provide daily in home care (in the client’s home). We do not take cats into our homes for care.

If you adore cats and would like the opportunity to travel around the entire borough of Manhattan or Queens taking care of them, please consider applying if:

• You are a consummate cat person who really knows them inside and out
• You have experience administering oral medication to cats (pills and liquids) or are willing to learn technique
• You are willing to learn how to administer insulin to diabetic cats
• You are not just looking for a job, but are really looking to do some part time work caring for animals

• You have solid judgment and common sense
• You are honest, reliable, responsible and trustworthy

Flexibility in availability a must. Ideally looking for someone to work 3-6 days/week, with the inclusion of holidays a plus Please understand that this is the nature of this business. All of our sitters work individual schedules, based on their pre-determined availability. Please do not apply if you are already employed full time. These are not temporary positions although part time. However, we are looking for people to work over the summer in a temporary capacity - and welcome students and teachers for that time period, as well

Need cell phone with email and texting abilities for all positions. For Queens positions, the use of a car is very helpful.
