WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a warehouse/assembler your responsibilities include performing a variety of mechanical production assembly work to include cutting, cleaning, applying, fittings, crimping, sealing, labeling, and packaging hose assemblies per customer specifications through work orders. Assignments will also include checking in and preparing merchandise to be placed into stock or pulled for customer orders. Must be able to maintain inventory accuracy in the department as well as maintain a safe and clean working environment.

  • Lead and/or assist in new product development of electro-hydraulic systems and controls
  • Prepare merchandise for shipment by packaging, preparing records of good shipped, filling out bills-of lading, posting weights, and verifying accuracy of shipments
  • Pull materials from stock using forklift or pallet jack
  • Load and unload trucks using forklift or pallet jack and place in proper storage locations
  • Maintain stock in an orderly and safe manner
  • Keep work area clean and orderly
  • Assist in prioritizing incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Prepare LTL/UPS shipments
  • Assist in inventory control
  • Lift and move heavy objects
  • Operate forklift in accordance with OSHA requirements
  • Operate pallet jack, weight scale, box strapper, hand held scanner, and computer
  • Route incoming merchandise and materials to proper departments
  • Operate table saw and hose crimper
  • Reject damaged goods and follow company procedures for returns or non-conforming product
  • Observe all safety rules, company policies, and procedures
  • Perform all duties as assigned
  • Perform assembly and sub-assembly work using basic hand tools
  • Follow work instructions to construct product
  • Maintain daily assembly requirements
  • Lift and move light weight to heavy weight objects
  • Follow company standard practices in accordance with department functions
  • Basic math skills

YOUR EXPERIENCES & SKILLS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Shipping and receiving experience in a distribution environment
  • Must have legible handwriting
  • Self-motivated
  • Flexible to effectively adapt to changing conditions and job assignment
  • Ability to use basic hand tools
  • Ability to work well with others
