Commercial Roofer

Boxman Studios is currently seeking a Commercial Roofer to join our team.

Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for installing new Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) roofing systems, conducting roof inspections, repair existing system if needed.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints for commercial plans.
• Install all materials compatible with EPDM roofing membranes
• Install approved insulation boards (plywood/wood planks)
• Install an EPDM or PVC system over loosely laid insulation board.
• Cutting materials to fit angles formed by walls, vents, or intersecting roof surfaces
• Working on low-slope roofs
• Installing layers of insulation on the roof decks of flat roofs, and sealing the seams
• Inspecting problem roofing to determine the best repair procedures, as needed
• Checking to ensure that completed roofs are watertight
• Strong working knowledge of job site safety

Requirements

• Ability to comprehend, construct, and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and shop drawings for the task being done
• Ability to install different types of roofing systems such as: PVC, EPDM rubber, dura-last roofing
• 2+ years of commercial roofing experience
• Reading a tape measure and use of basic set of hand tools
• Basic math skills
• Physical strength for climbing, carrying heavy materials, kneeling, bending and performing other activities
• Attention to detail
