Job DescriptionJob Description

Under the direction of the shift supervision, the Coating Operator operates all required equipment to produce finished coated pistons, meeting company production and quality standards and customer product specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.


- Communicate with previous and following shift to exchange information and learn of problems. Participate as a member of a team to produce the highest possible quality at the lowest possible cost.

- Operate required equipment within the operation to produce customer products, meeting company production and quality standards.

- Visually inspect and gage all parts according to procedures to ensure compliance with specifications.

- Clean, change and setup adaptor, screens, grippers, and make necessary adjustments as required.

- Perform daily preventative maintenance per requirements.

- Maintain temperatures, soap concentrations and change filters on washer.

- Fill accumulator on washer as required.

- Perform packing and labelling in accordance with customer requirements.

- Complete and maintain all paperwork, records, documents, etc. as required.

- Perform basic daily preventive maintenance, machine care and cleaning activities according to CIL Standards.

- Notify shift supervision of problems. Recommend methods to improve productivity and quality while reducing costs.

- Assist other operators when needed.

- Dedicated to the required development of an employee for an assigned area.

- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Perform departmental housekeeping activities.

- Maintain a valid forklift license and support with material handling duties as necessary.


C shift (Friday-Sunday, 6am-6pm) with overtime as necessary
36 hours with overtime as necessary
