We have an exciting opportunity for a PRN Registered Nurse to join our upscale plastic surgery center Looking for day shift as needed Monday - Friday.

A bit about the position:

Providing PACU coverage. From time to time may be asked to assist the team during the case with whatever they need.

What you can expect in this role:

  • Monitoring post-operative patients who are in the immediate phases of recovery from a surgical procedure through discharge.
  • Monitor vital signs, level of consciousness, perform dressing changes, administer necessary medications.
  • Assess overall status and educate patients and their families about home care instructions.
  • If there is more than one case, you would be responsible for pre-oping the next case while the team is in the OR.
  • Proper EMR documentation.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid RN license required.
  • 2 years of RN experience.
  • Equivalent combination of school and work experience.
  • Self-driven, able to work as part of a team and motivated for a fast-paced environment.
  • Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
  • Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch. Finger dexterity.
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to concentrate.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
  • Must have schedule flexibility and be able to work until the final case is complete and the last patient has been discharged.
