Riddle Village, a lifecare retirement community, is seeking Part-time Servers to join our dining department team. We have a "fun" new dining room and offer a competitive starting rate. If you are customer service-oriented, believe in service with a smile, and meet the qualifications for the job, then we want you to apply

SHIFT: 4:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m Monday - Saturday and 10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Sunday. This position includes every other weekend.

About the Server Position:

The Server will...

• Inform the residents of the menu selections for the day and professionally present and serve resident meals with a high level of customer service and to their satisfaction. This position also requires staff to ensure the dining room is clean and welcoming.
• Greets and informs residents and guests of available menu selections.
• Takes resident's and guests food orders and assists them with meal selections if requested
• Present the meals to residents and guests in a friendly and pleasant manner.
• Always address residents by name and become knowledgeable of their likes and dislikes in food and beverages.
• Be alert and attentive to the residents' needs and any problems, such as food dislikes or service problems.
• Clears the table when residents are finished dining
• Bus tables when the meal has been completed and reset the tables as they become available

Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must like to smile and smile often
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions in the English Language
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Must have an interest in working with the elderly
• Must have the ability to work well under pressure, organize workloads, and meet time deadlines.
• Must have a strong sense of timing and how to apply it to a serving structure
• Must display excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, both individually and as part of a team, and maintain a professional demeanor throughout the entire shift
• Must be able to stand most of the time, walk short distances, stoop, and reach for food. Must be able to lift food and equipment and withstand changes in temperature going in and out of coolers and freezers with or without reasonable accommodations

AVAILABLE SHIFTS VARY BUT INCLUDE EVERY OTHER WEEKEND
