Responsible for operating the laser tracker equipment to meet quality standards and customers specifications.

To plan, layout, fabricate, construct and repair a variety of tooling as required to support all facets of aircraft manufacturing. Such tooling will include jigs, weld and assembly fixtures, drill and mill fixtures, dies, models, bond tools, as well as templates and trim and form tools

Duties:

  • Independently operate Laser Tracker to perform inspection, ensuring project meets customer specifications
  • Produce easily understood and visually appealing inspection reports that include written descriptions, 3-D pictures and data tables
  • Evaluate equipment and work with customers and manufacturing team to develop and perform measurement plans for inspections, alignments and reverse engineering
  • Focus on manufacturing demands by prioritizing tasks and meeting scheduled deadlines
  • Seek ways to improve/streamline inspection methods and communication channels
  • Follow policy and procedures including safe working practices
  • Any additional duties assigned by management
  • Use all types of CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) equipment for setups and checking in process and final completion tooling work.

Job Knowledge and Educational Requirements:

  • Job knowledge requires vocational or similar training, including basic shop math to aid in the interpretation and the utilization of data from engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications and procedures.
  • Knowledge of shop routines and practices is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of personal computers, including operating systems and file management is required.
  • High school diploma or an accredited GED.

Experience:

  • Minimum of Two (2) years
