PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Receives and checks incoming supplies against packing slips and purchase orders for proper shipment, shortages, damage in transit, etc. Notifies Supervisor of shortages or incorrect materials received.
- Place material in proper bins, racks, etc. or communicates receipt of material to appropriate individuals.
- Distributes materials and supplies. Schedule Principal Supply receipts as directed by the Material Manager. Input timely data entry of material receipts, withdrawals, and the inventory activity.
- Controls stock room inventory by performing periodic cycle counts.
- Operates mechanical equipment as required for unloading, loading, moving or storing materials.
- Prepares and maintains various computerized financial, purchasing, inventory and storeroom reports, records, etc. as required.
- Expedite deliveries of materials and equipment by contacting vendor.
- Regular and predictable on-site attendance and the ability to work overtime based on business needs is essential.
- Performs other miscellaneous responsibilities as required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have high school education or equivalent. Three to twelve months of warehouse experience is desired. Specialized courses in inventory control/materials management or equivalent are preferred.
- Must have knowledge of arithmetic, accuracy in checking, posting, counting, and be able to use office equipment and mobile equipment required.
- Must display proficiency in computer applications (spreadsheets and word processing).
