Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Medical Office Manager/Assistant to oversee the daily operations of our medical office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the administrative staff, ensuring efficient office operations, and providing excellent customer service to patients. The Medical Office Manager will also be responsible for managing budget, payroll, billing and inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the administrative staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations
- Monitor and manage office budget, payroll, and inventory
- Coordinate patient appointments, consultations, and follow-up care
- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Ensure compliance with all medical laws and regulations
- Billing and insurance processing to maximize revenue
- Handle patient inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and services
- Conduct regular staff meetings to review office operations and address any issues or concerns
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a medical office management role preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in medical office software and EMR systems
- Knowledge of medical billing and insurance practices
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical ethics
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
