Motor Winder

Pay: $18-26/hr.
Description:
- The Motor Winder will perform the testing, rewind, refurbishment of AC and DC motors. May perform operations involving dismantling, rewinding, repairing, reassembling and testing motors. Must have ability to read/review work prints and determine materials necessary for winding.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- May be required to meet certain certifications in field and to have at least 2 - 4 years of experience
- Ability to read/follow verbal work instructions and complete required documents
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Job Duties:
- Ability to operate machinery to wind coils used in electrical equipment and instruments.
- Use of measuring devices, (i.e.: ruler, micrometer, venier, etc.), hand tools and testing devices (i.e.: megger, volt meter, etc.).
- Understands how to take connections data and develop wiring diagrams.
- Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Works under general supervision.
