Motor Winder

Pay: $18-26/hr.

Description:

  • The Motor Winder will perform the testing, rewind, refurbishment of AC and DC motors. May perform operations involving dismantling, rewinding, repairing, reassembling and testing motors. Must have ability to read/review work prints and determine materials necessary for winding.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • May be required to meet certain certifications in field and to have at least 2 - 4 years of experience
  • Ability to read/follow verbal work instructions and complete required documents
  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field

Job Duties:

  • Ability to operate machinery to wind coils used in electrical equipment and instruments.
  • Use of measuring devices, (i.e.: ruler, micrometer, venier, etc.), hand tools and testing devices (i.e.: megger, volt meter, etc.).
  • Understands how to take connections data and develop wiring diagrams.
  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of tasks.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Works under general supervision.
