This role involves developing SQL tools, ensuring data quality, responding to internal data requests, and supporting environmental compliance initiatives. The Specialist will also create reports and dashboards, provide system training, and manage vendor relationships. Working Thursday through Monday, the role requires a self-starter who can work independently on weekends to troubleshoot and manage regulatory compliance systems, while collaborating with the team during weekdays.RESPONSIBILITIES
  • HSE Systems Management: Maintain and expand knowledge of HSE Systems use and capabilities, primarily ACTS and Pronto Forms.
  • SQL Development: Utilize SQL coding skills to develop tools to capture data necessary for reporting and compliance.
  • Data Support: Support the population of data in and use of RBUs environmental, health, and safety data management systems (e.g., ACTS).
  • Project Development: Develop scope, schedule, and resources for Systems-related projects.
  • Process Documentation: Create and maintain updates to HSE Systems Process documentation.
  • Data Requests: Respond to internal data requests.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Analyze data and ensure data quality and accuracy of HSE related data entered into systems. Coordinate management of databases/systems (e.g., WellView data into ACTS) with IT.
  • Collaborative Solutions: Partner with others (HSE, Operations, or others) to develop data and systems solutions to business needs.
  • Reporting and Dashboards: Create reports, dashboards, or other access to HSE data for use within RBU and clients HSE platform.
  • Training: Provide training on HSE Systems and RBU systems related to HSE data.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with systems vendor project managers (e.g., Intelex and 3rd party contractors).
  • Intranet Maintenance: Maintain HSE department and HSE team intranet pages.
  • Cross-Communication: Participate in forums that facilitate cross-communication on HSE topics.
  • Asset-Specific Initiatives: Support other asset-specific initiatives as assigned by your supervisor.
  • Safety Commitment: Demonstrate commitment to safety and environmental compliance in all job aspects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills.
  • Database and SQL Knowledge: Knowledge of databases and SQL with experience supporting environmental software implementations in a consulting or industrial environment.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills.
  • System Familiarity: Knowledge of Intelex Asset Compliance Tracking System (ACTS) preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with other commonly used data systems or software (e.g., SharePoint, GIS, GenerWell, WellView, ProCount, etc.).
  • HSE Support: Experience working to support HSE initiatives, with knowledge of air quality regulations, permitting, and/or compliance.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness, as well as a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
  • Self-Motivation: Motivated self-starter.
  • Regulatory Adaptability: Flexibility to work in an evolving regulatory environment.
  • Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
