Server for PIER 290:

Join our team and enjoy the lakeside views and ambiance while seeing premium pay and flexible hours. For the upcoming season, we are looking for part-time, day shifts, evening shifts, weekend moonlighters, and banquet servers. Training is streamlined, start earning in as little as 5 shifts.

Essential Job Tasks

  • Cocktail serve
  • Greets guests and welcome them to Pier 290
  • Provide aid to guests with knowledge of the menus (Lunch, Dinner, Wine, and Drink) be able to suggest pairings, answer questions regarding the menus, inform guest of specials and the soup of the day
  • Convey orders from the tables to the designated areas whether it be the bar or the kitchen regarding the needs of the customer including allergy alerts and exclusive requests
  • Deliver orders from designated areas to the guest, complemented by additional condiments and garnishes
  • Be observable to the needs of the guest, acknowledge further requests throughout dining.
  • Practice proper table management by clearing dirty plates, keeping water glasses filled...
  • Complete the dining experience by offering coffee or dessert to the guests and recognize their participation in the Lake Life at Pier 290
  • Deliver a bill to the table, then collect payment from the tables in forms of cash and credit and lastly provide proper change or signature slip to guests
  • Be involved in the team atmosphere and help others when possible
  • Sustain thoroughly stocked server stations, complete side work to the best of ability and roll silverware throughout the shift if possible, if not, then after the dinner rush
  • Practice appropriate sanitation guidelines, safety standards and responsible alcohol service
  • Other duties as conducted

  • Knowledge to read, write and compute basic math
  • Some experience is preferred but not required
