Job Description

The Stockroom Shipping & Receiving Supervisor will handle managing small work teams in a fast-paced, high volume, unionized, engineering facility environment. The Stockroom Shipping & Receiving Supervisor handles ensuring team safety; building teams and training / distributing workforce; driving and implementing continuous improvement solutions to improve service quality and ensuring team morale. The selected candidate’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to supervising the following activities. 

  • Forecasting needs of all consumables for the plant 
  • Timely procurement of all materials, consumables for the plant.  
  • Shipping and receiving materials in and out of the plant. 
  • Material moves throughout the plant. 
  • Warehouse Facility staging for material not in use. 
  • Procurement of all materials, consumables for the plant. 
  • Stockroom disbursement of consumables to the plant.  
  • Leading a UAW workforce of Salaried and Hourly Bargaining Unit employees 
  • Supporting operations 24/7 
  • Training available
Qualifications

  • Previous Supervisor experience 
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • 2-4 years supervisory experience in Testing / Engineering / Manufacturing in a Union environment 
  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products 
  • Must have great communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Must have mid-level computer skills. 
  • Must have demonstratable leadership skills. 
    • Able to make changes.
    • Able to enforce work guidelines.
    • Able to coach employees.
    • Able to hold others accountable. 
  • Automotive experience- preferred
  • Worked with Union - preferred.


Additional Information

  • No travel is expected
  • Familiarity with Proving Grounds testing and operations 
  • Experience with JTETSO, PSAP, etc computer systems
