Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes stock inventory levels and product demand in conjunction with the Inventory Optimization Manager to establish daily stock inventory replenishment.
  • Responsible for purchasing and negotiating equipment and supplies from vendors. Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers.
  • Responsible for pursuing and setting up current Terms and Contracts for both new and existing vendors.
  • Reviews weekly and monthly reports for inventory management in conjunction with Inventory Optimization Manager including excess inventory, non-inventorial material, min-max management, etc.
  • Assists in new part number set up and activation for respective business unit.
  • Reviews customer return orders by vetting viability of material being returned and responsible for approving return in conjunction with appropriate Business Unit Leader.
  • Responsible for managing Open Purchase Order Report to maintain relevant inbound material arrival dates.
  • Assists the Warehouse Supervisor in reconciling and managing non-conforming inventory.
  • Strives to implement best practices to build top level efficiency in the purchasing process and recommends improvements to Operational Management.
  • Performs related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education / Knowledge / Experience / Skills:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in a Supply Chain Management discipline or equivalent degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three plus years’ experience in Purchasing or Inventory Control; experience within an Industrial or Valve field preferred.
  • Experience with MSOffice and other inventory software.
